This issue contains two engraved plates, the first showing a 'curious representation of Mr Smeaton's new Pyrometer', with accompanying description, and the second a miscellaneous plate with 'several non descript fossils and antient coins'. Both plates are very good, some very light offsetting to the paper notwithstanding. Among other inclusions are details of a 'Scheme to Drive the French from America, some advice on preventing smutty wheat, an ancient inscription with an explanation of it, an account of poisonous plants continued from the previous issue, a long piece 'Rosetta and Chamont, A True Story', to be continued in a later issue, an account of Pennsylvania, with among other things details of laws, exports and imports, and more. The magazine printed by D Henry and R Cave, complete in 48 pages and two plates, with original blue printed wraps and what may be the original string binding.
