This issue includes an engraved folding plate showing eight Gates of London; the plate is clean, and the impressions are strong. Also included is a second plate featuring some miscellaneous botanical items, with an accompanying description. There is some mild toning to the paper but the illustrations are clear. Further items are pieces on small pox, capital punishment, some curious experiments in electricity, taxation for dogs, the Crusades, and more. The magazine printed by Edward Cave, jun., complete in 48 pages and two plates, with original blue printed wraps and what may be the original string binding. The wraps are a little rubbed and browned, there is some wear and browning to page edges, some of the pages show are mildly toned/offset, some of the text is faded or rubbed, but all is still readable (in places a magnifying glass helps).
