This issue contains an uncoloured three-leaf folding map in two parts; the lower two-thirds consist of a plan of 'St Petersburg with its Fortifications, Built by Peter the Great in 1703,' and the upper third contains a map of the 'Harbour of Crownslot' with 'the River Neva' with 'Canal Made from the Said River to the R. Wolschowa.' The map is in very good condition, there are a handful of light spots, plus some very mild toning more generally, but the impression is strong and there are no markings. Approximate size of the two maps together 24.5 x 18.5 cm. Among other inclusions two further plates: the first showing 'the draught of a very curious machine for measuring the expansion and contraction by heat and cold', invented by Mr Withurst of Derby, and a 'new Swedish water-bellows for forges'; and the second showing 20 Noblemen's Arms.
