This is a beautiful collection of Shelley's poems, edited with textual notes by Thomas Hutchinson who also edited the Oxford Wordsworth. The hardback book is in good condition. It has a padded leather cover with debossed gilt lettering consisting of Shelley's initials scrolled on the front cover and gold motifs and the title on the spine. The spine shows some age with fading and some scuffing. There is some slight shelf wear on the top of the spine but overall the cover is in good condition. The page edges are gilded in gold and green. There is a ribbon page marker in the book but no longer attached to the spine. The binding is tight and secure and the pages are crisp and clear. The endpapers have gold, black and green marbling both to the front and back. These are in good condition and along the outer edge there is a fine gold line which lends a decorative element to the endpapers. A name and date 1923 are neatly written on the first page.
