Dame Agatha Mary Clarissa Christie, Lady Mallowan, DBE (née Miller; 18901976) was an English author known for her 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections, particularly those revolving around the fictional detectives Hercule Poirot, and Miss Marple. She was made a Dame in 1971, the best-selling fiction writer of all time.
