The Boy's Annual Vol 20" covers all weeklies from No 977 (Sat 2nd Oct 1897) to No 1028 (Sat 24th Sep 1898). These weeklies featured all manner of reading, including stories, articles, reference items, "how to make", focuses on collections, correspondence, etc, etc. The Boy's Own Annual was an annual volume reprinting the contents of the Boy's Own Paper (a London-based children's weekly which began in 1879 and ran until 1967), with additional illustrations (and sometimes with reformatted pages). (Note, although called a "children's weekly", the reading and articles are for boys throughout teenage years.) Xii, 824 pp, condition Good. Red and black cloth boards, with gilt titling to front and spine. Covers mostly clean, with only minor marks; bumping to corners and top & tail of spine. Spine has a 1 cm tear.
