The Boston Cooking-School Cook Book by Fannie Farmer is a 19th-century general reference cookbook . It was particularly notable for a more rigorous approach to recipe writing than had been common up to that point. This is a new edition, revised and enlarged in 1929. Yellow cloth covered boards with brown lettering. The covers are discoloured with knocked corners. Internally there is slight cracking at the spine on the second page. All other pages are clean and tightly bound. The book illustrated with numerous black and white photographs. The measurements are given in American cups but there is a table of measures and weights at the beginning of the book.
