The Birds of Aristophanes, acted at Athens at the Great Dionysia, B.C. 414. Translated into corresponding meters by Benjamin Bickley Rogers. Paperback playscript, published by G. Bell and Sons. University of Cambridge Bookplate on inside cover, for class mark 882. The previous owner has written their name and "Queen's College Cambridge" above the bookplate, dated 1967. There is a stamp from the University of Cambridge's Board of Extra-Mural Studies on the inside front and back cover. There is a large crease down the front paper bookplate, and around approximately an inch of the bottom of the book's backstrip has worn away/ is coming adrift from the text-block. There is some tanning to the book's uncut edges. There is a small sticker, giving a previous owner's address, on the first page. However, the text/playscript is clear and only lightly tanned. The book is in good condition over all.
