Very rare and collectable. Set of loose leaf plates which were published as supplements to the weekly Architects' & Builders' Journal. Most of the plates are photographic, measuring 22.5 x 32 cm but several are double-sized architectural drawings. There is a wide and fascinating variety of subjects ranging from Manchester Town Hall, Florentine palaces, church memorial tablets, French cemeteries, details of antique tables, etc., etc. The plates are in generally very good condition, though some are worn and a little dirty at the very edges, and some show age-normal browning. The plates come with their original board folder cover but the paper leaves which wrapped around the plates at the top and bottom have been torn off. The side leaf is still present. The board cover is in good condition though has some stains and is dated in pencil. Please see photos.
