This unmistakeably Bauhaus hanging light was designed in 1925 by Marianne Brandt and Hans Przyrembel. The light was produced on an industrial scale even then as it was very popular with the consumers of the day almost one hundred years ago. This has not changed. Its simple but tasteful design impresses even today. With the exception of a few, small details the light is exactly the same as the original Bauhaus light. The socket corresponds, of course, to the latest standards so that modern LEDs or compact fluorescent lamps can be used. The simple lampshade is available in white aluminium or nickel silver.
