The Toyota Celica GT-Four RC was developed as a homologation car for the participation in global rally races and 5,000 units were sold worldwide in 1992. This car, with its curved, powerful body, had a 2-liter turbo engine with metal turbines and water-based charge air cooler system, which produced 235 hp. The 4WD system used a mid-sized Visco clutch and a rear torsen differential for excellent control and traction. At global rally races in 1993, the Celica GT-Four for Toyota (ST185) brought both the manufacturer's and driver's championships for the first time.The proven TT-02 chassis serves as the basis for the 58724 Tamiya model in the scale 1:10. With this wheel base, ground clearance, track and gear ratio are adjustable in many ways and with the innumerable optional tuning parts the chassis can quickly become a racer.
