This glass jar with lid has a decorative appeal as well as being a useful object. It is particularly useful for things that you wish to stow away yet still be able to see from the outside. I've photographed the jar with a collection of old bits of haberdashery which are normally left in a bag. As well as looking pretty good having them in a jar such as this would allow me to identify the contents without scattering the whole lot over the floor. They could also be used in the kitchen for biscuits, or in the bathroom for cotton wool balls, or on the desk for stationery.
