The poems and illustrations in this book, which have a mostly pastoral theme, are by various writers and artists, many of them women writing under masculine pen-names. One person's name: Geo. Clausen, appears in the credits of both poets and illustrators. The book's title is taken from a poem of the same name, the first in the book, by Helen J. Wood. Condition: Poor. The hard cover is almost completely detached from the pages, hanging on by just a few threads, as are some of the pages themselves. The dark brown end papers show few marks; undoubtedly partly disguised by the colour. A tiny bookseller's sticker is affixed to the bottom outer corner of the front paste-down. The page
