Joaquin Sorolla - Jose Maria Faerna Garcia-Bermejo, Richard Rees (transl.). Published by Poligrafa, S.A. Barcelona (in their Modern Masters series) 2018. Illustrated. Celebrated as a painter of light, Joaquin Sorolla (1863-1923) was one of the most successful artists of his time. Sorolla excelled in the painting of portraits, landscapes, and monumental works of social and historical themes. His most typical works are characterized by a representation of the people and landscape under the bright sunlight of Spain and sunlit water. This is a selection of Sorolla's works, lavishly illustrated, with a short selection of recommended further reading included. Condition: Very good. The pages are clean and tightly bound. The cover is also clean and unmarked. A small piece of the surface of the top left-hand corner of the back cover is peeling, but not by much. Generally, this book does not seem to have been looked at.
