Bundle of material published by the Society of Psychical Research, of the UK, between the years of 1930 to 1993. Consisting of copies of the Proceedings of the Society for Psychical Research, and copies of various of the Frederick W H Myers Memorial Lectures. The Society for Psychical Research (SPR) was founded in 1882to examine without prejudice or prepossession and in a scientific spirit those faculties of man, real or supposed, which appear to be inexplicable on any generally recognised hypothesis. First published in 1882 as a public record of the activities of the SPR, the Proceedings are now reserved for longer pieces of work, such as Presidential Addresses, and are now only occasionally published. Frederick William Henry Myers was a poet, classicist, philologist, and a founder of the Society for Psychical Research.
