Rocky Shore Orkney is an open edition print that has been taken from an original abstract painting by Arie Vardi. This beautiful and calm landscape has been inspired by Perthshire, Scotland. A boat sales over the water under a bright and warming sky. With a colour palette of blues and purples, with oranges and yellows in the foreground highlighting the shoreline. Chile born Arie Vardi moved to Jerusalem to study Graphic Design. Following graduation in 1991 he moved to Scotland. Many of his paintings are inspired by his love of Perthshire, Scotland and the Mediterranean. This is reflected in the vibrant colour palette he uses in his work. Arie paints using acrylic, oils and mixed media, and often experiments with light and the way it moves across a scene creating shadows and pops of colour.
