A 1966 souvenir replica of Sir Francis Drake's purported 'Plate of Brass' that was supposed to commemorate the explorer's landing on the coast of North California in 1579. In the 70s this was discovered to be a fake created as a practical joke by local historians. The replica is printed onto card with a metallic finish and is pasted into a folding card booklet sleeve which has printed information about the plaque.
