This beautifully printed book of poetry has been signed by Charles Morgan (author, playwright and the Times theatre critic) and Hilda Vaughan for Chris Arnold - Forster in 1940. Chris Arnold - Forster was on the fringes of the Bloomsbury set. See the title page for the full title, which references the original collections of poems. Henry Vaughan, called the "Silurist," a designation he adopted as native of South Wales, or County of the Silures. Henry Vaughan died in 1695, aged 75. This book has been edited by "F.M.". Francis Meynell was a poet and printer with Nonesuch Press. Nonesuch Press found ways to make the printing craft that William Morris encouraged accessible to a wider audience.
