Dr. Bone was born in Budapest. She became an active Communist after the First World War, and lived in England for sixteen years doing work for the Party; in 1949 she returned to Budapest and was arrested by Soviet secret police on charges of espionage for Britain. During the following six years and fifty-nine days she was kept in solitary confinement. This is an account of her experiences written after her release in 1956. 1957 edition.
