`BB' has been a-wandering in his caravan again, this time around those areas of the remote Scottish Highlands which he did not explore on his first journey (described in The Autumn Road to the Isles, which had such a fine success). There are memorable word-pictures of lonely lochs set gem-like among the hills, where golden eagles soared over his encampment and the stag roared hoarsely from a mist-filled corrie. He encountered a fierce bull, he saw a mysterious sea monster in a loch (adjoining Loch Ness !) and had many other adventures which in the telling make rare reading. Seals, black-throated divers, eagles, capercailzie, blackgame, stagsthose almost unknowable things in our urban existencehe met them all upon his journey, and you may meet them too, in word and lovely engraving. The cover of the books shows signs of wear, there is a small tear on the top of the rear cover. The book is in very good condition internally.
