`BB' has been a-wandering in his caravan again, this time around those areas of the remote Scottish Highlands which he did not explore on his first journey (described in The Autumn Road to the Isles, which had such a fine success). Setting out in the soft fall of the year, he travelled north by way of the lovely Yorkshire dales and visiting the exquisite abbeys as he went along. There are memorable word-pictures of lonely lochs set gem-like among the hills, where golden eagles soared over his encampment and the stag roared hoarsely from a mist-filled corrie. He encountered a fierce bull, he saw a mysterious sea monster in a loch (adjoining Loch Ness !) and had many other adventures which in the telling make rare reading.
