The diaries and memoirs of Kathleen Bruce, wife of Captain Robert Falcon Scott of the Antarctic and late Lord Kennet. First edition published in 1949. The price-clipped dust-jacket is in poor condition with a faded spine, tears and some loss but still in one piece. The cloth-covered hardback is a little worn and faded at the edges and matching the loss in the jacket. The binding is tight. The book is annotated on the free front endpaper by Ambrose Heal of the furniture company. (The book is part of a generous donation from the Heal family). Annotated press clippings are clipped to the same endpaper. We have not attempted to remove them to avoid damaging the page. A photograph of the author has been pasted onto the inside of the front cover. Otherwise the pages are unmarked apart from age yellowing and spotting on the edges.
