Design table lamp Globe - a globe made of cardboard strips Think Paper is a Dutch design luminaire manufacturer that produces sustainable luminaires with a unique character. One such sustainably produced luminaire is the Globe table lamp, which consists of a shade made of cardboard strips and is made purely self-supporting. The cardboard strips have been arranged and glued by hand, whereby great importance is attached to beautiful colour nuances of the material. All materials used in the production of the lamp are sustainably produced and the glue used to glue the cardboard strips is 100% biodegradable. The spherical shade of the Globe table lamp is a delight to look at both on and off, because the different colouring of the cardboard strips with their different thicknesses and corrugations not only creates beautiful shades of colour, but also fine openings through which the light penetrates and effectively sets the shade in scene.
