Reynold Stone was one of the most distinguished wood engravers of the mid-twentieth century, and helped champion the renaissance in good printing and type design as well as being an accomplished watercolour painter and letter cutter in stone. He is also responsible for the coat of arms on the front of British passports. This memoir is written by Stone's younger son, an accomplished typographer and designer in his own right, and illustrated by more than 350 of Stone's engravings, watercolours, drawings, and photographs. 2019 edition.
