A former teacher, she uses her skills in campaigning and has received national recognition. Katy and the We Care Campaign won the Digital Campaign Award at the National Campaign Awards in 2020 and the 3rd Sector Creative Arts Award in 2024. Through craftivism, carers like Katy are transforming their experiences into art that influences decision-makers and raises awareness about the vital role of unpaid carers.
