The NERF x Reebok Kamikaze 2 ‘Backboard Breaker’ is drawn from a nostalgic collection with the popular toy brand. Made famous by Shawn Kemp, the retro hoops shoe is updated with asymmetrical color blocking and a mismatched leather and nubuck paneling. ‘95’ is embroidered on the heel tab, nodding to the release year of both the sneaker and NERF’s Big Bad Backboard, the game on which the shoe’s design is based. In addition to a jumbled blend of magenta, lime green, orange, black, yellow, purple, and powder blue, the mid-top is appointed with paint splatter detailing at the heel and NERF branding on the tongue and lateral forefoot.
