Drawing inspiration from the colours, rhythms and fabric of the continent, Jenny Williamson and Pat Parker show you how to create truly African quilts. In part one the authors showcase works from a number of top quilters, and examine and illustrate the inspirations from which they were drawn. Featuring diverse subjects such as wildlife, scenery, rural and city life - as well as Nelson Mandela's shirts - the quilts chosen present a gallery of African images. Part two gives step-by-step instructions on how you, too, can create your own uniquely African quilts. So get those fabrics out of the cupboard, and start sewing! The book is in very good condition. The outside of the book is slightly discolouration at the top and there are slight creases on the spine of the book. There is some marks at the back where there has been stickers removed.
