But as they say, good things come to those who wait. Cuvée Louise 2005 is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir, but that only tells half the story, because the grapes come from the Grands Crus of Avize, Cramant and Aÿ. With that incredible provenance, the result is a generous and compelling wine with notes of crème brulee, peach, ripe citrus, spiced gingerbread, honey, walnut, quince, buttery hazelnut, brioche and white flowers.
