Tasting Notes Winston Churchills favourite Champagne house was founded in 1849 by Pol Roger who from the very start favoured a dry-styled Champagne knowing it was the preference of the English palate. Ever since that time the house has produced wines of tremendous quality class and balance. Pol Roger Blanc de Blancs 2015 is a 100% Chardonnay Champagne from Grand Cru grapes and has been aged for 6 years. It reveals notes of fresh pear, candied lime, white flowers, and fresh bread dough, filling the palate with a broad yet light mouthfeel and a clean finish. It was rated 93 points by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and can be enjoyed now or kept in the cellar until 2030. Coming from all the Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs, the 2015 Champagne Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs has a bright silver/yellow appearance and needs a second to open in the glass and reveal notes of fresh pear, candied lime, white flowers, and fresh bread dough.
