Attractive and very good full Morocco red leather binding with decorative paneling, all edges gilt. Bound for King Street Seminary, Southwell, as a prize for Miss Kate Burgess First prize drawing 1888. This dedication is in the form of a swirling original drawing, which is most unusual. The front panel of white flowers is exceptional, and is unique, as another volume from this school has an equally charming but very different panel . Includes an essay on the life of Cowper by J.M.Ross Illustrations: Illustrated with a color title page, a b&w frontispiece portrait of Cowper, an illustrated title page, and 11 engravings on steel by Hugh Cameron. Marbled endpapers and text outlined in red box format. A couple of slight scratches on front board. There are very few spots, mostly at the beginning of the book .
