PIKO is the new model of the VT 2.09 rail bus from the German State Railways, which is often mentioned as a wish of many model railway enthusiasts for a modern, detailed and also operational version of the well-known "Ferkeltaxe". After the development of the innovative control logic of the DB-rail bus, for which PIKO received the Golden Track 2017, it is obvious that the widespread counterpart from East Germany is now in love with a corresponding logic. The railcar is driven by a strong micro-engine, which is equipped with flywheel masses for the benefit of flawless running characteristics, and has a buffer capacitor installed ex works for optimum driving characteristics without sound interruptions.
