In 1963 Townsend began work in the music scene, taking the first official photographs of The Rolling Stones, thanks to his friendship with Andrew Loog Oldham. Later in the decade he photographed musicians including Gene Pitney, Johnny Ray, The Searchers, Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, Peter and Gordon (whom he briefly managed) and The Beatles' first encounter with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in August 1966. This is Townsend's first book, published in 2009 and features a collection of these photographs. Condition: Used - very good, with wear to cover edges, and some yellowing to page edges.
