Hardback with pictorial boards, title in black on spine. Covers slightly scuffed, corners slightly bumped, but otherwise very fresh, appears unread. Pedro Velver (1970- ) is a Spanish artist known for works in which realistic figures and faces merge into abstract, Rorschach-like splashes of colour. This volume presents 48 works, mostly studies of heads, where photographic images have been manipulated and transferred into abstracted paintings on canvas. They are presented in large-scale plates, accompanied by brief poetic texts in Spanish by the artist (there is no catalogue essay). There is no ISBN number or date and the volume appears to have been privately printed. An inspiring volume for anyone interested in contemporary Spanish art or in art publishing.
