Instead, the blue, green and violet finish is created by reflected light. Its a technological beauty. The technique behind the watchs colourful dial is state-of-the-art. But its inspired by the principles of biomimicry, whereby technology reflects the wonders of nature. Think of the iridescent wings of a beetle and the way they reflect light to appear a bluey-green. Its the same thing here. We developed the technique in partnership with Switzerlands prestigious ETH Zürich university and this is the first time its been used in a watch. The result?
