This spoon was made by Nobue Nishimura in Oketo, Hokkaido. Its shape has been optimised for eating a Japanese style curry, although of course it could be used as an all purpose dinner spoon. It has a slender shovel portion at the end of the stem, and is satisfying to grip. The spoons have a clear wood finish and are made from Hokkaido sourced wood (in this case sakura cherry wood). From a care perspective, it is not suitable for microwaves, dishwashers or abrasive sponges when washing. Each spoon is hand made, with small variations but are around 20cm long, and 3.5cm wide at the widest part of the spoon. The spoon section at the end of the stem, is around 6cm in length. **About Okecraft** The story of Okecraft is a story of a community, and of its sustainable reinvention.
