This handsome box set of notecards contains 12 cards of 4 different designs (3 of each) . The patterns have been made on an Olivetti typewriter - that icon of mid-Century design and beloved of many writers and design fans. Olivetti produced the first portable typewriter in 1932 and by the 1970s had become the world's largest manufacturers of office machines. The patterns made for these cards are of intrinsic interest to graphic designers and those interested in the medium of print and are also a distant relative of writing BOOBS on a calculator. The sturdy box that contains the notecards is a handsome thing in its own right.
