To celebrate the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, Nike released a capsule of Air Force 1s honoring five of the teams competing in the tournament. The select group comprised South Korea, Brazil, The Netherlands, Portugal and—in the case of this green, white and red design—Mexico. Inspired by the country’s tricolor flag, the shoe boasts a patent leather construction across the upper. A Mexican flag emblem appears on the tongue, and a lightly embossed texture lines the inner collar. Aztec print covers the insole.
