Scarce set of four volumes from 1819 of the Natural History for Children series by Baldwin, Cradock & Joy, Paternoster-Row with fine engravings. Quarter bound with leather spines and marbled paper case. Two previous owners have signed the front endpapers in all copies and dated 1823 and 1863. Each copy has heavy wear around the cases, volumes II,II and IV have small tears in the top of the spine with pieces missing. Vols I and II have sections of text creased in the corners but all copies are in tact. Vol IV has a burn mark on the back of the case. There is some aging on marking on the text especially on the edges.
