The cost of energy use by museums, a large part of which is on environmental control, may not escape scrutiny when resources are limited. This book shows that museums need to strike a balance between environmental control and energy efficiency using both conventional and alternative solutions and includes two case-studies of museums which have succeeded in this task. Other chapters contain the text of talks presented at a conference on 'Saving Energy for a Better Environment'. The book is in very good condition, with only minor signs of wear on the external cover limited to the outer edges and spine. Internally the pages are clean, the binding strong and the illustrations clear.
