Mount Gay XO, the first XO in the rum category, is a small-batch blend of carefully selected mature rums, distilled in traditional copper pot and column stills and matured between 5 to 17 years in American whiskey, Bourbon and Cognac casks. This leads to a rum which is round and complex, with an aroma that balances sweet vanilla with oaky and dry spice notes. On the palate, it starts with notes of salted caramel, baked figs, dark chocolate and baking spices, all finished off with a rounded, smooth creamy finish.
