The MontblancHomage to Nicolas Rieussecchronograph faithfully replicates the details of the originaltime writerfrom 1821, but relies on innovative materials and technology to transport the historical device into our contemporary age. As on the original, elapsed time is shown on two rotating discs, above which the motionless hand indicates the elapsed seconds and minutes. A new combination of materials is used on the dial which has been exclusively developed by Montblanc: Super-Lumi Nova pigments, which are invisible in the daytime, are inlaid all around the hour ring made of hybrid ceramic. As darkness falls, these numerals become visible. The hours- and minutes-hands, which are inlaid with Super-Lumi Nova, allow clear legibility of the exact time during the day and at night. The MontblancHomage to Nicolas Rieussecchronograph is produced in-house in the Montblanc Manufacture and certified with the Montblanc 500 hours quality certificate. The steel version is limited to 565
