Ponte Roma is a stable, double knit fabric with a smooth texture. It is an easy knit fabric to sew with as it holds its shape well. It is made from a blend of viscose and polyester fibres and added elastane. The polyester gives this fabric its body and stability. The elastane gives it great stretch recovery and the viscose gives it a beautifully soft finished and a little drape. It is a wonderful blend that is both beautiful and practical. This fabric is resistant to creasing and is very comfortable to wear. It has great stretch and recovery, with 40% across the width (from selvedge to selvedge) and a 20% stretch down the length of the fabric.
