A Minerva exclusive, this gorgeous Animal Glow design is printed onto the most luxurious velvet base cloth. This velvet is really special as it has a subtle crush texture which catches the light in a magical way! It also has the most beautiful weight that gives it fabulous drape! This is a knitted velvet fabric which is made from 92% polyester and 8% elastane. This gives it a 60% stretch across the width (from selvedge to selvedge) and a 15% stretch down the length of the fabric. It is luxuriously soft, stretchy and has plenty of drape, making this fabric the perfect choice for sewing tops, tunics, dresses, skirts, jumpsuits, culottes, light jackets and more. At 250 grams per square metre, this fabric is classed as a medium-heavy weight. The fabric is opaque and will not require lining. We recommend sewing this fabric with a new ballpoint needle for best results.
