This Unikko breakfast set contains two Oiva cups (2 x 2.5 dl) and two Oiva plates (2 x 20 cm). The set is presented in a gift box with the Marimekko logo. Marimekko's famous Unikko (poppy) pattern was created in 1964 at a time when the design house's collections were dominated by abstract prints. Designer Maija Isola wanted to turn this organic theme into something interesting and created a whole series of floral prints. Today, the iconic flower stands for creativity. Marimekko convinces with world-famous patterns that have been worn years ago by well-known personalities such as Jacky Kennedy. These patterns can be found on all kinds of accessories in the living and dining area. But not only decades-old patterns have proven themselves, Marimekko also works with current designers and artists who create patterns and designs for Marimekko products.
