Kiln dried hardwood logs cut to 25cm in length and split from 5-18cm. Sourced from a Woodsure approved supplier, this product is predominantly Ash with a small proportion of other hardwood species such as Oak, Maple and Alder. Our firewood is on average 20% or less moisture and burns extremely well. Using good quality firewood logs will ensure your chimney remains clear and more usable heat is produced. Hardwoods are essential if you want to achieve a sustained burn with plenty of heat. There is an abundance of poor quality firewood logs on the market which in many cases are cheap but generally are unseasoned and poor quality. Using poor quality firewood logs means that more valuable heat is used driving off excess moisture resulting in a very inefficient burn.
