A design classic by Poul Henningsen: the PH 5 Mini hanging light The PH 5 Mini hanging light is a design classic by the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen and has been named after its creator, Poul Henningsen. In addition to his role as a designer, Henningsen also worked as an author and journalist – he was truly multi-talented. From 1925 until his death in 1967, he worked as a designer for the traditional Danish company Louis Poulsen. In 1958, he invented the PH 5 and its little sister the PH 5 Mini. This model saw him further develop his celebrated three-lampshade system, which had been launched back in 1926.
