These planters are made from lightweight metal which has been given a "rust" finish by way of a paint finish that looks like a rust colour rather than having been left to actually go rusty. The rust colour does however manage to straddle the bridge of looking relaxed enough to fit in well in a country garden and smart enough to sit in a city garden. They come in two separate sizes and have a narrow lip at the edge. As they are all coloured individually they look slightly different from one another. There is no deliberate drainage holes but equally they have not been constructed to be water tight so water will not sit in the bottom of them indefinitely. I would however probably still put some drainage crocks in the bottom of these to ensure that your plant roots don't end up sitting in water. You could place these planters on a patio or you could use them within a planting scheme in a bed to create a new interest at a different height from the rest of your planting. There was a Tom Stua
