Lavender may quite rightly be considered a cottage garden classic but it's much more than that. Lavender Munstead is a true multi-tasker as it is a beautiful plant in itself but add to that the evocative scent, the nectar for bees and its use in the home once the flowers have been dried. The best position for lavender is edging a path where you can release the familiar scent by brushing past it or by running your hand over the flowers and evergreen foliage. It's very easy to gather and tie lavender for drying and the dried flowers have many uses such as for flavouring home baked shortbread biscuits or as a filling for a reputed sleep-inducing pillow. Bees love lavender too! in Height: 45cm (18)
