Revue Mensuelle de Medicine historique, litteraire et anecdotique [Monthly magazine of historical, literary and anecdotal medicine]. The journal was founded by Dr. Augustin Cabanès (1862-1928) a French medical doctor, historian and writer of numerous works of fiction and history. He was known for his books on historical medical mysteries. In 1894, he founded La Chronique médicale, a popular journal dealing with unpublished articles on the health of literary and historical figures. This issue is 43rd Year, No 11, 1 November 1936. Articles include one on past remedies and operations for corneal scars and cataracts, anecdotes on Canute and Boileau, and lively debate in the readers' response pages. The condition is very good for its age. Tanning to cover and pages, but staple and binding are secure. Staple is slightly rusty, but does not mark pages. One ink note on Page 303. No creases
