Written in Japanese. Kishida Ryusei (1891-1929) was a Taishera artist, originally studying Western art in his youth, he was heavily influenced by Western movements and techniques from realism to impressionism, though later in life he became more interested in more traditional Japanese painting re-incorporating more elements of that into his own pieces. This book explores the changes in the art scene in the early 20th century through, primarily, Kishida's painting and development as an artist . The book itself is in great condition, 'as new' with minimal wear - and featuring monochrome prints of Kishida's art throughout.
